A customer reached out saying that the Ghost Tablet they received, upon rebooting after a week of use without issue, displayed a screen that said "No Operating System was Installed". After some research I found that this has unfortunately happened to quite a number of people after a recent GrapheneOS update.

Should you find yourself in this position, try not to fret too much. All those who experienced this issue, to include our customer, were able to pull through this. It does require however you have some patience as you'll need to re-boot the device repeatedly until the system eventually determines it needs to default to the prior release to boot. This has taken up to 20+ reboots for some individuals. For others it's taken as few as 5.

To reboot the device, hold the power button down for 15+ seconds and it will force a reboot. Keep doing this until the device starts to load normally.

For more info on the topic, you can check out the thread from the GrapheneOS forums at https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/7970-didnt-boot-after-update-now-does

If you've tried this method and it STILL does not fix the issue, please contact us at support@mark37.com and we'll work with you to hopefully resolve or send you a new device.
