1) Battery should not be having this issue and I'm not sure a reset would fix this issue. Did you purchase the phone from MARK37? If yes, send us an email at support@mark37.com and we'll work with you on diagnosing and potentially replacing the device.
2) You can not backup data to the SIM card. An external USB-C storage device is needed such as https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Ultra-Drive-Type-C/dp/B01EZ0X55C?th=1. SHOULD you want to backup your data you can simply go to Settings -> System -> Backup and make sure all the toggles are "on" pushed to the right. You can even select specific files/folders to be backed up as well to be backed up.
