Suggested Apps?

We are constatly trying to find new useful apps to pre-install on the Ghost Phones we ship to customers and use ourselves. Have any suggestions?

Good news! We have found an app to have proper voice to text for you. It's called Sayboard and it's effectively a plugin to your texting app on your ghost phone. Here are the steps to make it work:

1. Click on this link: https://github.com/ElishaAz/Sayboard/releases/tag/v2.0.1
2. Scroll down and download "Sayboard.apk" underneath 'Assets' (Screenshot attached)

4. Press download anyway while using the internet browser on your Ghost phone
5. Agree to grant permissions to your microphone and keyboard
6. Download the English language in the 'Sayboard' app
7. Open the texting app you use and on the bottom right hand corner, click the keyboard icon which opens up an option to choose "Input Method" (See attached screenshot of what your phone screen should look like)

The SMS Import / Export app is found on F-Droid. No adds. No cost. I can export or import text messages, call logs, & contacts.

I installed it on my old & new phone. Here's how I used it to get everything to my new phone.

On my old phone
I exported my text messages, call logs, & contacts to files. Opened my Protonmail app & sent a password protected email to myself with the exported files attached.

On my new phone
I opened my Protonmail app; opened the email I sent myself & downloaded the attached files. I opened the SMS app & imported each file one at a time. Worked great & I highly recommend it.

I came across a very helpful app in F-Droid called Contacts Import. My dilemma was transferring contacts from Thunderbird. I want to use Thunderbird to manage my contacts and then just update my phone with them. This app worked surprisingly well for me. There may be better ways to do this but this was the work around I am using and really like it. Since I don't plan to manage contacts on the phone this should be adequate for me yet it also has an export function but I haven't used this yet. It seems it should work fine both ways.

For those who may still have a macbook and want to transfer files between android and mac, OpenMTP can be downloaded to mac. Once opened, file transfer is easy and intuitive

@ForestSong, have you used this tool to pull contacts, phone/txt logs and photos down to an Android device yet? Are there any videos of someone successfully doing this?
