Compare Pixel 4a / 5 / 6a - Which one is right for me?

If you simply need an affordable de-googled phone that works, go with the 5 or 5a (a little bigger form factor). If you'd prefer a slightly better camera with panaroma function, go with the 6 or 7 series.

I have to get another phone and I just have one question I'd like to know about with the Pixel. Do any of these models allow an ethernet connection so I can avoid wireless when I want to? When I looked for this with the 4a I could not find an adaptor for it so I'm wondering if the 5 or 6a has an accessory I can purchase to do this.

Unfortunately Peter mobile devices are really not designed for hard line ethernet connections. There may be a work around to make this happen but I honestly this is the first time I've ever heard anyone even interested in seeing if this was a possibility and I have been unable to find a way to do this searching online as well. There is likely a way to make the connection once the device is directly connected to the laptop... but again, it would be a work around that will take some digging and finesse.

Ethernet has been key to me, too. I don't even have wifi - the best way to not use it! I have the adapters that work with apple, but no luck on the Pixel6a so far.

This had me wondering if there was a USB-C to Ethernet adapter, which there was, so I purchased one to play with a few months back and it works!

Wondering about the USB-C to Ethernet adapter for an environment where connecting to an internet signal via bluetooth is unstable at best. Would connecting to a neighbor's Starlink via ethernet fix that issue. Would it make devices connected to Starlink vulnerable to that surveilance software? Also still trying to understand, if dont want to create a wifi environment (router) in order to connect multiple devices via Ethernet in an area where cable is unavalable, is there a product that redistributes a single incoming Ethernet signal/cable to multiple outgoing ports?
