If I do a factory reset on my Ghost Phone, will I lose the GrapheneOS operating system?

  By: TheSuit on May 24, 2024, 4:20 p.m.

Short answer is NO, resetting the phone and doing a factory reset will not send you back to Google Android.

A factory reset will boot the stock GrapheneOS operating system. Make darn sure all of the contacts and other data you need is backed up how…

Re: Is there Way to By pass Google Pixel data limits on text

  By: TheSuit on April 24, 2024, 11:11 a.m.

The Ghost Phone we sent you in Dec of '22 in no way would be sending you a message to push a text through Google Drive without you specifically installing/using various Google Apps or Google Play Services onto the device since you received it.

Short answer is no. Apple iPhones and iMessage service uses a different technology to send/receive messages between their devices which allow them to send/receive larger files than traditional Google Android or all other open source Android based de…

Unfortunately there is none that I am aware of. I've been riding taxi's for the past 3 years when needed and managed to avoid Uber/Lyft entirely. Not feasible for everyone... but there was once a time when Uber/Lyft didn't exist and we all still man…

Re: Virtual Credit Cards

Re: Will the Ghost Phone provide the same camera functions as the Google operating system?

  By: TheSuit on March 12, 2024, 12:54 p.m.

Camera functions do not change at all, simply the application that utilizes and manages the camera on the device. You'll find the vast majority of the functions that Google has on their camera app are also used for the GrapheneOS camera app.

Will the Ghost Phone provide the same camera functions as the Google operating system?

  By: TheSuit on March 12, 2024, 12:54 p.m.

The Pixel 7 Pro camera seems to rely heavily on software processing, so I'm not clear on how a change of OS will affect the camera functions. What should I expect in this regard? Especially, the zoom functions.

In general all Linux based systems for laptops/desktops and the open source GrapheneOS mobile operating system are much safer as no programs are able to execute on the devices running these operating systems without you being notified and giving exp…
